 For this festive macramé I used a cinnamon stick to hold my cord. I looped the cord around the stick and secured it with long pins on a board.

 For this creation, I used 6 strands of a 3mm long cotton cord which was 24 inches in length

 Basic square knot technique: bend cord A cross it over the filler cords and then under cord B   Pass cord B behind the filler cords and bring it out to the front

 If you'd like you can add small wooden beads to complement your macramé

 Once you secure your bead, cut the strands to the desired length, use a comb to loosen the strand creating a fringe
